LOVE the FULL FRONTAL

Unique bi-annual fashion 'bible' LOVE magazine has launched its 'Fashion Icon's Issue'. 8 of the worlds best supermodels have undressed and showed their bodies in all their glory. The magazine has published each models body statistics and it comes as a surprise how much beauty varies; it was also nice to see that even SUPERMODELS  have their body issues..

Readers had 8 covers to choose from, the models dignity was saved from front page vulnerability with carefully placed exercise tap. After studying them religiously I bought Natalia Vodianova.

Conde Nast have broken all boundaries with their editorial; the images portray elegant eroticism and nothing sexual, while the images are shocking they are clearly beautiful pieces of art.

So much more than a Department store ...

We explored to find Paris (and it's shops) in all their glory and thats exactly what we found after a power nap ...

Gallerie Lafayette and Printemps did not disappoint, the huge ceilings and otu of this world visual merchandising did turn the stores into a living dream.

The amazing ceiling in the dome of Galeries Lafayette

A mini hat montage ... it would of been rude not too.

Printemps

In celebration of the new Alice in Wonderland film, department store Printemps created an Alice themed cafe, completed with huge teapots and a chequered floor. They continued this theme with their visual merchandising; they hired several designers (including Alexander McQueen RIP) to design Alice in Wonderland style window displays.

We were truly inspired by the stores involement and visualisation of the film...we eflt like we were in a little wonderland of our own.

Day Two ... The palace of Versaille

The sound of our alarm woke us up at 6.45 and we dresses for the weather ... Ice and Snow.

We boarded the coach to Versaille and severley underestimated Paris traffic in rush hour; 2 hours 45 minuted later we arrived at the Palace and it did not disappoint.

Gold gilted doors welcomed us into a spacious paradise of art, sculpture and decor... as we wondered round the home of Miss Antoinette it became clear what her life was like when she was Queen.

The ice, snow and freezing temperatures didn't stop us exploring.

The amazing gates to the Palace.

Parie ... Day One and more than a little disappointing ...

Nottingham...00.00am...8th February 2010.

FCP and FMB join forces and coachers for our annual study trip...this year we were visiting Paris.

After a 12 hour coach journey and a severe lack of sleep we were dropped off at the side of the motorway in Bobigny (or the ghetto of Paris). Tiredness definitely added to the dissappointment as we ultimately decided if we were going to allow ourselves to sleep in room 022.

Luckily (for some) my wonderful friends had bought blankets and used theseto shelter themselves from the 'beds'.
Rose (the Mummy) how we slept for the week.

We power napped and wrapped up ready to explore the City of love ... we (naturally) ventured towards the shopping streets and ended up in Chatelat, where we sat down and enjoyed a traditional French snack; hot chocolate and pastries.

After much wondering and a lovely meal (steak, Parisienne style) we needed sleep but somehow I didnt think I would be getting much on out foam bed's.

Tomorrow ... A trip to Versallie and a look into Marie Antoinettes residence.

The changing face of Luxury ....

What is Luxury? Does it refer to sentimental or wealth value ... or is it both?

“If everything is luxury, then nothing is luxury” (www.blogs.wjsn.co.uk....)

The first project we were set when joining NTU last year was to explore the meaning of luxury and then to express our thoughts through a series of moodboards; the set I produced portrayed my expressions of Wit, Sensuality, Purity and Heritage. Looking back to this assignment I feel I showcased my opinions well, what do you think?

My particuliere shade of the summer ...

So .... Last season it was their infamous Jade nail varnish and for S/S 2010 Chanel hit us with an ever stronger collection ... their three nude-esque nail varnish colours had literally sold out before they hit the shop floor with waiting lists taking over the whole stock.

I managed to get my new favourite shade 'Le particuliere' and I will be wearing it throughout summer ...
