Take the lift all the way to the top

After an 8 month break in which I haven't had a life ... I'm back with news of the Louis Vuitton A/W show at Paris Fashion Week.

The opening had me captured and I didn't blink for 15 minutes.
Included in the show; 4 hotel doormen, 67 models, french maids, feathers and none other than Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell

Four lifts were placed in the middles of the show space, which happened to be a black tent in the middle of the Louvre Museum's courtyard. The no expense spared show started with the doormen emerging up from the stairs, they took their palces at the side of each lift and the show began. The vintage style lifts had been inspired by those at Clridges, London.

The first model came up in the lift and emerged in a black, sheer midi skirt, the next life opened to reveal a pair of hip exaggerating, high waisted sheer trousers. The next lift and so on and so on. I was in awe, their was not a single look I did not love.

Feathers, fur, sheer blouses, pvc heeled wellington's, bow detail maryjanes, corset belts, sequins, knickerbockers, flared skirts, shorts and a continous flow of fabulous handbags.

Based on the childre's book series 'Madeline' the collection was flawless and coherent. Nothing less than you would expect from Marc Jacobs

Kate Moss closed the show in a pair of black hot pants and a rubber lacde jacket with shaggy sleeves. The highlight watching her close the show while ignoring the law and dramitcally smoking.

LOVE LOVE LOVE ...Love Magazine

February and August are my favourite months of the year ( in magazine terms) ... it means Love Magazine is back.

I was given so much choose for my chosen cover, staring at 7 covers for 20 minutes before settling on Gisele. The perfect cover for the Gorgeous Issue.

My fave bits ...

Scratch the NAKED itch ...

I heard, I was, I wanted ... The fall issue of fashion bible V magazine.

Adriana Lima, Lily Donaldson, Eniko Mihalik, Isabeli Fontana, and Natasha Poly have bared all for Mario Sorrenti and the worldwide V Magazine readers.

Not only can I fashionably drool over the beautiful women I can also let my inner child escape with the excitement of scratching off the cover. This was until I went to order it and realised shipping from the U S of A was over $90.

So for now staring at a computer screen and buying a normal issue will have to do.

ST.Tropez part 2 ...

First the party, then the clothes ... After the outdoor garden party Mr.Lagerfel held to celebrate the launch of the Chanel Cruise 2011 collection, came the catwalk show. Or should I say St.Tropez Boulevard show.

All I an say is WOW, WOW, WOW ... he's created his most wearable yet. It's made me seriously contemplate a summer move to the Cote D'Azur.

Uncle Karl adds another string to his bow ...

St. Tropez stood back and took notice this week when the godfather of fashion stepped up to launch his Chanel Cruise '11 collection....his normal shock value, he's made a mini film. Remember Now.
The schindig, featured beautiful fashionista's and outdoor games galore ... it was the party I ultimately wish I'd attended.

Gisele is back in true military form

After her rather short meternity leave Gisele is back and radiates more gorgeousness than before the Brady baby was born.

Gisele Bundchen is rocking military style for the May issue of Mexican Vogue, this was his second military themed shoot for May (the other for Korean Vogue). Both shoots were by Nino Munoz.

Something Beautiful has definitely begun ...

The journey of something beautiful started on the 12th April and the 27th April saw our first photoshoot.
We wondered through Nottingham's Arboretum with a camera and a beautiful clock on the end of a gold necklace.

Pippa was our model, Kim was the photographer and I was the documenter.

Here's our story of a pocket watch ... as told by Something Beautiful
